Can You Wait Five Minutes?by Al Stone, L.Ac. |
You didn't become addicted overnight, and in my personal experience, it is best not to try to quit overnight. These articles hope to provide those who want to quit smoking with a method that I used to quit. I found that breaking up this big job into a bunch of little ones made it much easier to do. It worked for me, and after ten years, I would go so far as to say that the process has been permanent. There are three phases to this protocol. Breaking the physical addiction, breaking the psychological addiction, and finally acupuncture. I have found acupuncture to be wildly successful. I am also an acupuncturist so I can perform this protocol on you too if you can get to Santa Monica, California for a week. However unless you're really at that point where you're ready to put down your cigarettes for good, acupuncture's benefit is limited. Acupuncture can help you quit, but it can't make you quit.
